So yesterday was my last 27 hour call at the hospital. Yeah!!! It was very interesting. I covered the labor and delivery floor all day. THe first delivery went well. No problems. The second  one we had to go to be a emergency c-section because she just would not dilate in order to deliver. The baby looked like E.T. and had a head to match. No wonder that baby could not get out. THen in the afternoon it was pregnant women with diarrhea all day. Diarrhea does not mean the baby is delivering I repeated all day. Then last night we had a woman come in at 1030 and she was yelling an screaming for pain meds which always gives me a headache. Well at first we thought she had a bulging bag so I was trying to get her set up for epidural and everything and five mintues later she says the head is coming out.   Well when I go to deliver her I see the butt not the head and it was too late for surgery so I delivered my first breech delivery and it was crazy. The nurses were all in the room and I think we had 10 people in the room luckily everything went well and the baby delivered backwards. My attending did most of the work with the head(the last part) but it was crazy. (And yes she was a kicker but I did not get hit. Yea for me, it is always a problem when the women kick you during the delivery.) THen I had to get all kinds of xrays and stuff so the night was nuts but I am finally done with free labor calls at the hospital. Went out with a bang. And yes I know this is one of the few times I will talk about the WHO-ha. LOL

Ok so I am doing my first work post. People are killing me today. I hate when people ask you for everything in one visit and you have to tell them the insurance is not going to pay for it nor will they ever pay for it. Today I had a woman ask for a hysterectomy because she bleed too long on her last period (7 days) and was demanding it.  Then wanted a pelvic exam. And no I really dont want to look up in there no matter how nice you shaved it or decorated it with jewelry. I told her we could send her to the residency program downtown and they could practice on her or she could wait till she really needed it. She decided to wait.  However there are some perks but that is a post for later. I am on call this weekend and my hubby will be visiting friends in MO. I really wish I was going I miss my friends in MO. Anyway I will stop my bitching and get back to work. I still have too many people to see before the day is over and I want to spend time with BOO tonight. 

OK so i am totally new at this. Not sure what all to do here.  So bare with me. Last night Matt and I went to see Babylon AD. Here is my review. The movie had great potential but I was very disappointed. It was great until the half way mark. Then the story should have developed and started to explain what was going on and what the point of the movie was but it did not develop anything. Not even sure what the movie was about now. So how do you write a review of a pointless movie. However Matt did convince me to watch the OFFICE and I did like it despite being convinced that I would hate it. I really enjoyed it. Season four was very funny. When did TV get better than the movie theaters. Anyway first entry over will write again soon.
